Tradition and Innovation Mix

One of the great pleasures in life is discovering a restaurant that is well-preserved through the years

It’s amazing how many so-called “Grilles” and “Bistros” have proliferated around the Bay area in the last couple of years. What’s so amazing is that for the past 23 years, the original Bay area Bistro has been quietly establishing itself as the one to emulate.

Bobby’s Bistro & Wine Bar opened in 1994, and set about redefining nouveau, or what some call, California cuisine. The leg up so to speak, was that this casual dining setting was conceived by the owners of Bob Heilman’s Beachcomber.

For the casual connoisseur, we call it a light approach to the consumption & enjoyment of good food and wines.

Incredible Taste Bites

Bobby's, as legions of fans from around the world have come to know this already legendary culinary scene blends the essences of a gourmet menu and wine list with utter simplicity of a la carte dinning in four distinct dinning and imbibing rooms. For apps, try the Sherry Garlic Sizzling Shrimp or a Half Rack JamAsian Baby Back Ribs. The freshest seafood pasta, veggies and USDA Prime Beef, this side of The Beachcomber. For a new spin on Salad Nicoise, try our Non-Classical Nicoise with seared sushi quality tuna. Be sure to add our Signature Bistro Potato to any entry - enough for two people. Okay, how'about a made-to-order gourmet pizza, from our own ovens? Made with the freshest ingredients, we have a variety of special pizza each night. However, our selection of wines - a $20,000 bottle inventory - is a bit more expensive. Plan on spending a little time perusing the Wine Spectator award-winning list.
